Preserving Normal Birth IV

This program is designed for health care professionals who provide the specialty of mother-baby services. The content is appropriate and of interest to registered nurses, nurse practitioners, midwives, childbirth educators, doulas, lactation specialists and physicians. The fourth year of the conference seeks to continue and expand on our stated goal. Robbie Davis-Floyd, a
nationally recognized author, leader in maternal-child care and anthropologist will help us assess the health care of mothers and babies from a social and systems approach. Joan Conway will discuss the state-of-the-state in a review of Louisiana’s fetal and infant mortality rates and explore the ‘whys’ of these statistics.
